Chris Davis of the Baltimore Orioles hit his 20th home run of the season Sunday in a 4-2 win over the Detroit Tigers. In the past week Davis has hit four home runs with six RBI’s with an incredible .481 batting average. Davis has an amazing .357 batting average with 52 RBI’s on the season. Baltimore currently stands 2.5 games out of first place in the AL East. With Davis projected to get career highs in every statistical category, look for the Orioles to be in contention all year. Last season Davis hit a career high 33 home runs, he is on pace to shatter that number. In 2008 Davis hit .285, as long as he avoids a devastating slump he will destroy that number. With Davis getting better and better by the day he is quickly becoming one of the best players in baseball.
