Following an offseason of drama Peyton Manning and company showed no ill affect opening the gates of the season. After starting out slow against the defending champion Ravens, Manning got things started with former basketball star Julius Thomas. Following this touchdown pass there was no stopping Manning as he threw six more touchdown passes the rest of the game, tying Joe Kapp with the NFL record for most touchdowns in a game.
Peyton now gets set to face his younger brother Eli in the third “Manning Bowl” of their careers. Peyton has Eli’s number so far winning the last two contests. With Manning’s new weapons in Wes Welker and Julius Thomas along with Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas, look for Peyton to keep things rolling and expect a high scoring game.
